ON THE GROUND
Our work
Modest projects, carried out with the people they concern.
To help a people is to enable them to shape their own future
Our work is concentrated in the diocese of Goma, North Kivu — a region where successive wars have left schools without roofs, families scattered, and children shut out of learning.
This sentence has travelled with the association since its beginnings, and it describes our method better than any report could. We do nothing for a community without doing it with them.
At Bikaniro, the families made the bricks and raised the walls. We supplied what they could not produce on site.
Making the bricks, at Bikaniro.
Bikaniro Primary School

Community health
Goma — easier access to voluntary HIV testing, in a city marked by decades of crisis.
